It’s hard being someone’s Mister Right when for a hundred pounds an hour, you’re anyone’s Mister Right Now.
Young ex-art student Eddie has abandoned his course, his family, his lover and his friends to follow a male escort into a world of sex, drugs and unrequited love. Now, he is beginning a tentative romance with an old friend and having to face up to the challenge of being honest in a relationship about what he’s doing in the weird hours he works and the lengths he’s willing to go to to try to please everyone around him.
Written, drawn and published by Howard Hardiman, The Lengths is available in UK Comics shops or online and is released regularly throughout the year.

Hey there.
I bought your comic (issue 7, I think) at Forbidden Planet the other day as it stood out to me in the independent section. So many comics try TOO hard with the colours and the shiny pages and the swanky printing methods and all that while not really concentration on the content. I like the rough-and-raw, low-fi feel of yours. Thought you should know that just in case you are ever tempted to go over to colour printing. Could you possibly really quickly describe your creating process from pen to print? Would be of great help to me as I am trying desperately to print my own comics but not sure where to start.

Thanks for that! Definitely a good idea! The b/w feel of it is right for the characters and the world they live in; I don’t think colour would work for them at all!
